Aftercare

Cremation or Burial

What happens after your euthanasia appointment? You can keep your pet with you for burial or to make your own cremation arrangements. Otherwise, we are ready to take care of cremation for you.

Pet Cremation Services

If you would like us to take care of cremation for you, Dr. Bruner will take your pet with her at the end of your euthanasia appointment. If you are choosing to have your pet’s ashes returned to you after cremation, Dr. Bruner will take care of that as well.

If your pet has passed away on their own, Dr. Bruner can come to your house to get them for cremation. This service is $250, plus the cost of the cremation of your choice (see below), and any after-hours fee or travel fee that may apply.

If your pet’s ashes are being returned to you, you will receive only their ashes. You can choose to have them returned in a carved rosewood box, or in a cardboard scatter tube (blue with silver paw prints) if you plan to scatter or bury their ashes. Either option can be opened to allow for transfer to another container.

If you are choosing not to have your pet’s ashes returned, their ashes will be respectfully incorporated into structures used to rebuild coral reefs.
